Terms of Use

Last updated: May 6, 2026

Overview

These terms apply when you use IBS Log. By using the app or server features, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use IBS Log.

IBS Log is a personal logbook for recording food, stool, symptoms, sleep and notes. It is built to help you capture your own history quickly. It is not a medical device or healthcare service.

No Medical Advice

IBS Log does not provide diagnosis, treatment, prediction, triage, emergency support or medical advice. The app does not replace a doctor, dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional.

Do not use IBS Log to decide whether to seek care, delay care or change medical treatment. If you have urgent symptoms or health concerns, contact a qualified professional or emergency service.

AI Processing

IBS Log may use AI processing to transcribe audio and turn text into structured log items. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or misunderstood. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting your logs.

AI processing is only used to make logging easier. It is not intended to identify causes, predict flare-ups, detect health problems or provide personalized medical advice.

Accounts And Actions

The app may create a server account automatically for device credentials, sessions, purchases, action balance, AI processing and account deletion. This is not a public login account.

Actions are consumable processing credits for user-initiated AI processing within the app limits. Technical retries and platform failures should not charge additional actions. We may refuse, limit or cancel processing that appears abusive, unsafe, fraudulent or technically invalid.

Purchases And Refunds

IBS Log uses consumable App Store purchases for action packs. App Store purchases are handled by Apple and may also be subject to Apple's terms.

Deleting the server account does not refund purchases. Refund requests must be made through Apple. Remaining actions are tied to the server account and are removed if that server account is deleted.

Your Data

The Privacy Policy explains what data is stored on your device, what data is sent to the server, how temporary AI processing works, how account deletion works and how to contact support.

You are responsible for exporting local logs before deleting local data or deleting the server account if you want to keep a readable copy.

Device Transfer And Deletion

Device transfer is intended to move your account and local data to a new installation. Keep the old device available until the transfer finishes.

Local reset deletes data on the current device. Server account deletion deletes the server account and server-side account data, but it does not remotely erase local data already stored on other devices.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse IBS Log, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer server behavior, bypass action accounting, submit illegal content or use the service in a way that harms the app, infrastructure, providers or other users.

Availability And Changes

IBS Log may change, pause or stop features, server processing, purchase options or availability. We try to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or permanent availability of any server feature.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, IBS Log is provided without warranties and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms when the app, server features or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last changed.
